Strawberry Festival

staw1.gifStrawberries mean summer in Wisconsin and we love to celebrate the most luscious fruit of the season at Historic Cedarburg’s 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival being held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
Enjoy everything strawberry, from strawberry shortcake to strawberry wine.  Festival-goers can stroll along Main Street and find that perfect treasure at the
Arts on the Avenue located throughout historic downtown.
 
There is so much to do: lively music, unique shopping, fun-filled contests, lots of children’s activities, demonstrations, including the Annual Plein Air Painting Competition for adults and kids.  It’s a fun-filled festival for the whole family.  Please continue to check out more.

German Festival

With a cheerful salute to Cedarburg’s German founders and a hearty Gemuetlichkeit, Festivals of Cedarburg, Inc. and the City of Cedarburg Parks & Recreation Department have just announced Historic Cedarburg’s very first German Festival on Saturday, July 19, 10 am–9 pm & Sunday, July 20, 10 am–6 pm. Free admission and parking.

Wine and Harvest Festival


stompersg.gifEnjoy fall’s bounty at Historic Cedarburg’s 36th Annual Wine and Harvest Festival being held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The weekend brings plenty of tantalizing foods with a harvest flavor, exquisite caramel apples, Farmer’s Market, a colorful Scarecrow display and over 200 artists from all over the Midwest.

Winter Festival

AHOY MATEY'S!  Hearty buccaneers will be swarmin' all over Historic Cedarburg during the 34th Annual Winter Festival "Shiver Me Timbers - Pirates!" February 9 & 10, 2008. Capt'n Jack will be sailing the Frosty Pearl into Cedar Creek's dry dock to give his grizzled seadogs a bit of R&R during Wisconsin's best Winter Festival.

Drop your cutlass and pick up a nine iron on Saturday morining, as the Cedarburg Lion's tee-off with yellow tennis balls during the Ice-Burg Open Golf Tournament in Cedar Creek Park. Then scramble aboard the "Jolly Roger" hay wagon for a closer look at creative "Pir-Attitude" Ice Carving Contest entries by artists along Washington Avenue. These icy diamonds sparkle like plundered treasure.

Weigh Anchor! It's on to the Winter Festival Grand Pirate Parade at 1:00 p.m. Saturday. The Parade route, from Washington Avenue to the frozen high watermark of Cedar Creek, features hearty bed racing teams, fire trucks, sailors, swabbies and scurvy seadogs. At 1:30 Saturday, it's on to the hotly contested and hilarious Landlubber Bed Races Competition, featuring pirate-themed Costumed Racing Teams, followed by the Yo Ho Ho Barrel Racing Contest at 2:00 p.m.

womenicecarver.gifAlso on Saturday at the Community Center contestants will await the decisions of celebrity judges who will judge  the winning chili samples created by aspiring ship's cooks during the Chili-Contest, Saturdayat 2:30. Individual and restaurant participants are invited to compete.   Grown ups will rule Saturday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Cool Brew Beer Tasting and Casino Night, featuring food sampling from area restaurants, designer beers, Las Vegas style gaming, memorable loot...and wel'll be shanghai-ing infamous beer baron Disck Leinenkugel to toast the briny foam with all the assorted scally-wags. 

Sunday morning gather the lads & lassies for the Pancake Breakfast with the Pirates at the Community Center from 8:00-11:00 a.m.  At noon, kids under 7 can hunt for treasures during the  Hidden Treasure Egg Hunt. Then it's time for the top dogs to compete in the Alaskan Malamute Dog Weight Pull Competition, Sunday from 11-5.  Fun-family activities will be featured indoors all afternoon. Open Family Skating daily.
