    Date: May 17, 2019 - May 18, 2019
    Event Description:

The WWII event will be held May 17th &18th. This year’s focus will be “Metz-The City that Wouldn’t Surrender.” The Ozaukee County Historical Society has once again partnered with the 1st Allied Airborne Living History re-enactor group who does a wonderful and historically accurate job of the portraying details of the encampment, demonstrations and battles. Over 100 re-enactors will take part in the encampment. The Military Veterans Museum in Oshkosh will provide a sampling of military vehicles. The event will conclude on May 18th with a USO-style dance featuring Swing Nouveau playing all the wartime favorites.Something you won't want to miss.

May 17th we devote to education and have invited schools and senior centers from around the area to take part in a special day to learn about WWII History. The demonstrations are geared toward students. This day will be open to the public on a "preview basis" at a discounted rate.
