    Job Description
    JOB TITLE:     Community-based Coordinator
     
    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The primary function of this position is to ensure that volunteers and children are appropriately enrolled and matched while executing a high degree of independent judgment when utilizing BBBS standards and practices.  This position will also share in the responsibility for driving strategic growth through the cultivation, recruitment, stewardship and support of mentor-rich corporations and other organizations that can provide sustained volunteer resources and financial support. 
     
    LOCATION:  Grafton, WI
     
    POSITION TYPE: Full-time Position (30 hours/week)
     
    COMPENSATION: Based on degree and experience
     
    TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Direct Hire
     
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Assess volunteer and client appropriateness to BBBS.  Conduct volunteer and child enrollments, including: orientations, interviews, and completion of all enrollment processes.  Conduct 6-month reassessments with children that are waiting-to-be-matched.
    2. Assess and ensure child safety and refer families for alternative or additional services as needed.
    3. Ensure a high-level of proficiency and skill in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies and procedures throughout all aspects of job function. 
    4. Provide comprehensive assessments and recommendations for participation in the program based on this information.
    5. Determine matches and facilitate match meetings.
    6. Maintain accurate and timely records for each match according to standards and utilize technology to report, synthesize, and analyze data.
    7. Provide match support to a small caseload of matches.  Responsible of continually assessing the match relationship according to BBBS standards and focusing on: child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development, and volunteer satisfaction. 
    8. Develop strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships, including: coaching, providing volunteer training needs, addressing barriers.
    9. Coordinate and facilitate monthly Tuesday Child segments.
    10. Assist with coordinating and facilitating REACH Activities Program.
    11. Manage & implement Volunteer Recruitment & Child Outreach Strategies with support from the Executive Director, other staff, and Board Members.
    12. Other duties as assigned.
     
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in social services, human resources or related field required. Experience with child and adult populations, and/or assessment or intake experience, is strongly preferred.  Will include regular evening and occasionally weekend hours.  Some travel throughout Ozaukee County required.  Must have a car, valid driver’s license and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.   

     
    SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 
    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations and geographic areas. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to inspire, motivate and focus internal and external team members to the agreed upon goals. Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in-person and telephone.  Ability to use time effectively and focus on details. Proficient in Microsoft OFFICE Suite.
